Wow! I have finally updated my showreel. As you might know, The Laundry Warrior Film hasn’t been released yet, therefore it will take a while until I can receive and include shots on my showreel. So I improvised a little bump on my demo, from the Laundry Warrior Film – just a reminder. Plus I added some new shots from the second season of Animalia. I will put something about the fish project as soon as I finish it. I hope you like it. Cheers.

Fish Project

Dont worry if you tried to access the Fish Project link and you find it locked. ;) I’m currently doing some 3D Animation for a friend in US that is finishing his short film. I’m trying to put everything online for review, so I will have the whole process available online once I finish it.

It is a “manta ray”. I am doing the rigging, animation and lighting using Maya. The output will be rendered in 2K Rez. I’m thinking about doing a video tutorial showing the rendering steps or maybe the compositing procedure using Nuke. Let’s see.

When I have it done I will update more information.

Hi folks,

It’s been a long time since I last updated my blog. Here is a promo picture for the last project that I worked on. Great project to work on as a compositor, where I faced heaps of challenging that definitely changed my concepts about composition. Heaps of Key, Elements, 3D cameras, Matte Paintings and loads of 3d layers. Thanks for Photon NZFX that gave me the opportunity to be part of this movie and for all team that once more, ruled. After this one, I believe that everything can be done in Computer Graphics. It is just a matter of time, patience and dedication…

Laundry Warrior is an English language fantasy action film starring Geoffrey Rush, Kate Bosworth, Danny Huston and Korean actor Jang Dong-gun. It was written and directed by Sngmoo Lee, and is being produced by Barrie Osborne who also produced Lord of the Rings. The movie is scheduled for release sometime in March 2009.

Animalia’s Farewell

Yesterday, (29/02/08) we finished the last shots for the 2nd Animalia Season. It was a kind of sad and great day. I needed holidays, but on the other hand I’ll miss Photon VFX and this awesome production. Such a good work environment. I’ve made some good friends over there and I hope to meet them again on next upcoming projects. Congratulations to everybody and thank you so much!We all won a poster with the hole Animalia’s characters. This one is mine.

Animalia is now showing on PBS, U.S.A. Cool! They have their own Animalia website. I liked the ecards.

The project that I’m currently working on released their website . They are introducing the characters and a bit about the stories. It’s pretty cool. The kids are going to love this serie!
